There are two projects at LBNL currently funded by BES
Title: Diagnostics within the North Eastern Center for Chemical Energy Storage (NECCES) Task
Objective: The development of in situ and ex situ methods and multi-functional probes 
that push the limits of both spatial and temporal resolution for fundamental studies of physico-chemical properties of EES systems and their basic components.

Title: Center for Electrocatalysis,
Transport Phenomena, and Materials (CETM)
for Innovative Energy Storage
Objective: Develop the fundamental basis for an entirely
new high-density energy storage system that
combines the best properties of a fuel cell and a
flow battery
