“First-principles study of the oxygen evolution reaction and polaronic hole transport in the lithium-air battery.”
Dr. Shyue Ping Ong is a senior researcher associate at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He obtained his PhD from MIT in Jan 2011. Ong’s research focuses on the application of first-principles modeling to study of the phase equilibria, transport, and other properties of materials for energy storage. His work spans from first-principles thermodynamics of solid-state battery electrode materials to the modeling of complex liquid electrolyte systems.
